With the sense of assurance only a two-year-old can have, she ran full speed toward the gurgling water. Abruptly stopping at the rocky ledge, she barely hesitated before climbing to the top of the feature and only then turned back to look at us. Accomplishment and 'look at me, Mommy' gleaming in her big, bright eyes.
Oh, Gracia, what glorious energy and self-reliance...I could follow you around for hours...
